Why This Program Exists

No family should have to navigate the justice system alone.

Incarceration impacts entire families. Many loved ones feel overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure where to turn when trying to understand prison processes, policies, communication barriers, medical concerns, write-ups, visitation, programming, or reentry planning.

JAI Foundation helps families ask the right questions, organize concerns, seek meaningful answers, and identify practical next steps.

This Program Is For You If...

You need help making sense of concerns, policies, or next steps.

  • You are preparing for re-entry and you want support thinking through family needs, transition planning, and referrals.

  • Your loved one is incarcerated and you are their voice outside of the walls.

  • Your loved one needs access to classes, programs, opportunities, or facility resources.

  • You are not getting answers when calling the prison, You feel unheard, redirected, or unsure which office, process, or resource applies.

  • You have policy or write-up questions, You need help understanding what happened, what to ask, or how to organize information.
